Lego And Sega Reveal Four New Sonic Sets

Sega and Lego have revealed four new Sonic Lego sets and all four will be available in just a few months.  More specifically, the four new sets – Amy's Animal Rescue Island, Sonic's Speed Sphere, Tail's Workshop and Tornado Island, and Sonic's Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge – will be available from Lego's online store, the company's brick and mortar Lego stores, and authorized retailers starting August 1, 2023.  Amy's Animal Rescue Island Amy's Animal Rescue Island will feature 388 pieces, six characters in Amy, Tails, Crabmeat, Picky, Pocky, and Flicky, and additional accessories. It will cost $49.99.    Sonic's Speed Sphere Sonic's Speed Sphere will feature 292 pieces, three characters in Sonic, Moto bug Badnik, and Flicky, and additional accessories. New Nintendo Switch Online Sega Genesis Titles Includes Street Fighter II

The Sega Genesis library of Nintendo Switch Online gets its first batch of new games in months today.  Old-school fighting fans can dive into Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition. This marks the first appearance of Street Fighter II in the library, and this particular version is the 1993 console port of the first major arcade update to Street Fighter II. The collection also includes the side-scrolling classic Kid Chameleon, the arcade game Flicky, and Pulseman, a sci-fi side-scroller by Pokémon developer Game Freak.  As a reminder, Genesis titles are included in the Expansion Pack of Nintendo Switch Online, which falls under the more expensive subscription tier. The Next Indie World Showcase Is Tomorrow

Get your Joy-Cons ready: Nintendo has announced that a new Indie World showcase will premiere tomorrow, April 19. While some Nintendo streams start in the wee hours of the morning, this one's not too bad, airing at 9 a.m. on the West Coast and 12 p.m. on the East Coast. Diablo IV Has Gone Gold

Diablo IV arrives on June 6, and that date now feels more concrete because Blizzard announced today that the game has gone gold. That means the game is essentially complete and is ready to be pressed to discs. Knuckles Live-Action Series Officially Underway, Cast Revealed

Months before the premiere of the very successful Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Paramount announced plans to create a live-action spin-off TV show starring Knuckles. After over a year of silence, we now know the project is officially underway, as well as the cast that will bring the series to life.  Sonic the Hedgehog director Jeff Fowler also sits at the helm of this series, and he tweeted the above image of the Knuckles clapperboard complete with the character’s cowboy hat that he donned in the ‘90s animated film Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie. Myst Studio’s Steampunk Puzzle Adventure Firmament Launches In May

Firmament, the upcoming puzzle adventure game by the studio behind Myst, Riven, and Obduction, finally has a release date, and it’s just a month away. The game launches on PC and Mac on May 18 and will come to PlayStation consoles and PS VR2 at a later date. Firmament was initially funded via Kickstarter and was first teased way back in March 2018.
