Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Gets First Post-Release Patch

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been out for about a week, but yesterday marked the launch of its first post-release patch. Version 1.1.1 of the game fixes one very specific problem, but also ambiguously addresses issues to improve the gameplay experience. You find the patch notes below, as well as on Nintendo's website. Fixed issue where, sometimes, the player could not clear main quest “The Closed Door,” even if they fulfilled the conditions to advance the quest. If you have already encountered this issue, you will be able to clear the quest by downloading this update data. Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience. Despite both Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild being incredibly solid games out of the gate, even Zelda is not immune to...

Epic Games Store Introduces Free Rewards Program

The Epic Games Store is getting its own rewards program to further incentivize users to engage with its storefront. Officially dubbed the Epic Rewards Program, it’s now live and lets users earn 5 percent back in Rewards on eligible purchases. Epic has not specified what type of transactions qualify for the kickback. You also don’t have to sign up for the program and can join for free.  Although the storefront still has some strides to make to catch up to Steam, this could be a helpful step in that direction. This move comes months after PlayStation recently rolled out a rewards program for its storefront called PlayStation Stars, meaning most of the big gaming storefronts has their own variation now.  Does this program entice you into engaging with the Epic Games Store more often? Lords Of The Fallen Is Coming This October On Friday The 13th

Lords of the Fallen is coming this October, and despite the good news it lands on the unluckiest day of the year. Thankfully, a lengthy trailer gives us the good fortune of enjoying some action-packed gameplay footage.  This reimagining/reboot of its 2014 predecessor is coming on Friday, October 13. A big new trailer set to Iron Maiden packs in a ton of metal-infused action that shows off the game's Unreal Engine 5-rendered graphics.  It's been a long road for Lords of the Fallen, which began life as Lords of the Fallen 2 years ago before development restarted from scratch. It was re-announced as The Lords of the Fallen last year before reverting back to its original name. The Souls-inspired game's open world is five times larger than the original's and supports online co-op. The combat has also been retuned to be...

A new tweet from the official Mortal Kombat reads "Tomorrow is a new dawn" and contains a teaser styled after the previous video, featuring a clock hand that skips past 12 and strikes 1, followed by text reading “It’s Is Time” with a start time of May 18, 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET. Tomorrow is a new dawn. #MortalKombat pic.twitter.com/VAxjF1rFdj — Mortal Kombat 30 (@MortalKombat) May 17, 2023 Fans have speculated that the clock landing on "1" may signify the next game is a reboot of sorts. Although 2011’s MK 9 already did that, the wild ending of MK 11 (and its Aftermath expansion) certainly paves a runway for Netherrealm to essentially start fresh and do whatever it wants with the fiction...
