Goopy Le Grande は Cupheadのボス。
Inkwell Isle OneのRuse of an Oozeに登場する。プレイヤーにダッシュやダッキングを把握してもらうためのボスとなっている。
Phase One
戦闘が始まるとGoopy Le Grandeは挨拶として帽子を傾け、プレイヤーを粉砕するために跳ねまわり始める。
プレイヤーはGoopy Le Grandのジャンプ攻撃を避けながら攻撃する事となります。
数回跳ねたのち、自らが巨大なボクシンググローブに変身し、プレイヤー目がけて飛んできます。
このパンチの範囲は非常に短いので、簡単に避けることが可能。その間にヒット数を重ねることが攻略のポイント。
十分なヒットを重ねると、丸薬を飲み込み巨大化します。巨大化中に出るピンク色の疑問符はパリィ可能。Goopy Le GrandでAランク取るために必要となります。
Phase Two

2段階目に入るとGoopyの攻撃パターンは2種類となり、より強力なボスとなる。
- 1段階目よりも不安定なバウンドを繰り返し、横幅が増えた分プレイヤーに接触しやすくなっている。
- 1段階目では自らがボクシンググローブとなっていたが、2段階目になると自分の拳でパンチを撃ってくるようになる。パンチの範囲はより長くなっている。
回避方法は、範囲外までダッシュするかダッキング（しゃがみ）するかの2択。
一定ダメージを与えると墓石に押しつぶされ死んだかのような演出になるが、まだノックアウトではなく第3段階が始まる。
EasyModeでは墓石が落ちて来ずノックアウトとなる。
Final phase

Goopyは第2段階で死んだように見えるが、第3段階では墓石となり戦闘は継続される。
攻撃パターンは1つしかなく、左右に移動しながらプレイヤーが立っている位置にプレスを繰り返すのみである。 バックグラウンドでの移動となるため、プレス攻撃が来るまで墓石に当たり判定は無い。
墓石の顔に弾を当てることで、Goopyにダメージを与えることができる。
Trivia
- His name, Goopy Le Grande, means Goopy the Large with "Le Grande" in French means "the large".
- His design seems to reference The Slime, the common enemy and mascot of Dragon Quest.
- In the 2014 trailer, there was actually two Goopy Le Grande.
- Unlike most bosses, Goopy Le Grande doesn't appear in the ending with all other debtors, which leads to assumption that he was killed off permanently.
- He is also the second boss that doesn't appear in the ending, with the first being The Root Pack, third being Wally Warbles and fourth being Dr. Kahl's Robot. Ironically, only Wally Warbles' fate is implied to be true death (being eaten by his paramedics).
