Phases

The Baroness Is really unique, as the major part of the boss is aiming more to her minions working as the sub-bosses before the actual fight against the Baroness. Three of these following bosses will appear during the fight:

Jawbreaker: Will mindlessly pursue the players. Has one smaller Jawbreaker that follow it from behind. On simple mode, no Jawbreaker will be behind the main monster.

Candy Corn: Flies around the arena in a horizontal figure 8, summons monsters that fly upwards. The monster does show up on simple mode, but does not have a candy corn following him.

Cupcake: Jumps around the arena, trying to squash the players. Every time he lands, he sends out shock waves.

Gumball Machine: Runs around the arena, while sometimes shooting gumballs in random directions. On simple he scrambles across the entire arena, but won't fire gumballs.

Waffle: Flies around the arena, while sometimes splitting into multiple pieces and dragging them back. He appears on simple mode, but doesn't do anything besides fly around.

Gumball Machine: Walks around the arena without getting close to the edges of the arena, while shooting gumballs from it's head. On simple mode, it doesn't shoot gumballs from it's head, but it touches the edges of the arena.

Once the second monster is deployed, a Jellybean soldier armed with a sword sometimes charges across the arena. They can be killed by only crouching or parrying the pink jellybeans. Once the third monster is deployed, the baroness herself will appear on top of the castle to fire three bullets that orbit around each other which one of them can be parried.

Final phase

Once third monster is defeated, the main battle with Baroness herself begins. She orders her candy castle to chase down the players. Baroness will throw her head, which will home into player (Two heads are thrown in Expert). The castle will also spit rolling Peppermint candies which can be parried for extra height.

Victory

When the boss is defeated, both castle and Baroness will cry while the castle just bangs fists on ground.

Trivia

  • The Gumball Machine may be a reference to the not so famous (and removed) "Dragons ate my Candy", where your starting defense is a Gumball Machine which shoots gumballs like a Peashooter. The Gumball Machine exactly does that (only on normal).
  • The whole entire stage may be a complete reference to "Somewhere in Dreamland", where in the kid's dreams, they are in Dreamland, where there's a numerous amount of candy.
  • The Jawbreaker looks almost exactly like Pac-Man
  • The throwing head attack may be a reference to Queen Marie Antoinette's famous line "Let them eat cake", because she chops off her head and also she's riding a cake.
